In this story Pippi Longstocking decides to run away with her friends Annika and Tommy. They decide to run away because Annika is mad at her mother. When they run away they go through different adventures, meeting new people, and seeing new places. One of the adventures was when Pippi went and floated in a barrel, floating down a river. Pippi was successful and didn't drowned but she lost her two friends. Eventually she ends up finding them and they continue their journey. In the end they end up returning home and decided that home is the best place ever.
My reaction:
I thought that the book was cute and that it showed fun adventures of a little child having. It was even better because there was a long plot to it all but it told of the children's adventures along the way.
Who might benefit from this book?
I think any child would benefit from this book because it was an easy read and it had short fun adventures to read about.
What problems might this book cause?
Well children might think its ok to run away or that it is ok to go to random people's places to stay the night. That is very dangerous and is a dumb thing to do which children might not know.
