I Like Myself

I like Myself by Karen Baumont
Publisher: Harcourt Books
Copyright: 2004
Number of Pages: 30
Age Level: 4-5 Years
Genre:Contemporary

Summary:
In this story it didn't have really any plot to it. It was about a little girl that talked about how much she liked herself. She talked about no matter what she looked like, what others thought, or how she acted she always enjoyed herself. She enjoyed herself because she was always happy and she was entertained which is the most important thing to her rather then how she looked or what others thought about her. The story was very cute because the characters were drawn with such fun colors and different looks. It also sends a wonderful message. Love yourself!

Who might benefit from this book?
I think everyone would! No matter your age. Its a fun book to let you know that you should love yourself no matter what! You should be your best friend and you shouldn't care about what others think!

What problems might this book cause?
NONE!

My reaction:
I loved this book. It was so simple but the message rang true. Its something that we all should take to heart. I think that children should learn that message at a young age then they can always appreciate themselves.
