Even More Parts by Tedd Arnold
Publisher: Dial Books for Young Readers
Copyright:2004
Number of Pages: 28
Age: 4-5+
Genre: Contemporary
Summary:
In this story its still a continuation of Parts. In this book the little 5 year old is getting ready to go to school. He is going through all the things that he needs to remember so he doesn't fall apart. An example would be "could you lend me a hand" he takes that literally and through the book its going over all the sayings that he has heard as he prepares himself for school because he doesn't know what to expect.
Who could benefit from this book?
Children because it identifies the sayings that people say that aren't meant to be taken literal.
What problems might this book cause?
none
My reaction:
I didn't like this one as much as I did the others. But it still was a cute book. I did get a few laughs because of some of the things the little boy took literal such as "I keep changing my mind" he thinks of taking out your brain and changing it. ha!!
