Tsunami: Helping Each Other by Ann Morris
Publisher: Lerner Publications
Copyright:2005
Number of Pages: 32
Age: 4+
Genre: Nonfictional

Summary:
In this book it talks about a Tsunami that hit Thailand and a family that has to go through the after math. Through this book it talks about the before and after the tsunami hit. It talks about the families experiences during the storm and the chaos after. The main focus however was after the story when the family had to deal with the loss of loved ones, the availability of food, shelter, clothing, disease control, and the children's retry to start a school again. This book portrays what so many people underestimate what people have to go through.
My reaction
I enjoyed this book because I have never been through a tsunami and I have no idea what the after effects are and how hard it is to cope with the after math. I think that this book did a great job in showing how hard it is and was for that family.
Who would benefit from this book?
I think that everyone would. Children need to learn about the natural disasters that happen in this world and I think that through pictures and a story about a specific family would be a great way to open the door to natural disasters.
What problems might this book cause?
None.
